This e-learning module aims to provide learners with an increased understanding of the autistic spectrum and offer strategies to support those on it. On completion, learners will have an increased awareness of the main characteristics of behaviour which individuals on the autism spectrum can commonly display as well as an increased understanding of the sensory differences of people on the autistic spectrum.

Overview – Understand How to Support Individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions

As 2.8 million people in the UK are affected by autistic spectrum disorders, it is important that we gain an understanding of the autistic spectrum and the strategies that are available to support those with the disorders.

This is why we have developed this autism online training course. It is aimed at anyone who may come into contact with someone who has an autistic spectrum disorder, whether that is someone they care for, or a family member, friend or colleague, and will provide them with a greater understanding of the autistic spectrum and helpful strategies to support those on it.
